Saturday and Sunday trading

Weekend hours are the most common reason a trip to PEP goes wrong, because they are set store by store rather than nationally. The official locator lists Saturday and Sunday separately for every branch, so both days can be confirmed before you travel rather than assumed from a weekday schedule.

Two things are worth checking specifically:

• Saturday closing time, which is frequently earlier than the weekday closing time at the same store.
• Whether the store trades on Sunday at all. Some PEP stores do not, and the locator shows a dash rather than a time when that is the case.

Public holidays and special trading

Public holiday hours override the regular weekly schedule for that date. Stores inside a shopping centre are also bound by the centre’s own holiday trading decision, which can differ from the store’s usual pattern and is not always reflected in advance.

Before a public holiday, and especially over the December period and Easter, treat any schedule you have seen previously as out of date and confirm again on the day or the day before.

Finding your store’s exact hours

The PEP store locator is the authoritative source for a specific branch. Each store listing has a details page that carries a full Monday to Sunday trading-hours table, the physical address, a phone number and a live indicator showing whether the store is currently open.

To check a specific store:

1. Open the PEP store locator and search by area, or allow it to use your location.
2. Identify the correct branch from the address, not the name alone. Several PEP formats can appear in one town, and PEP Cell stores are listed separately from the main clothing stores.
3. Open that store’s details page and read its trading-hours table for the day you plan to visit.
4. Phone the store if the visit depends on the hours being right, particularly around a public holiday.

Why this page does not list one set of hours

PEP does not publish a single national trading schedule, and there is no time that is correct for every store in the network. A store in a regional shopping centre, a high-street store and a store in a smaller town are each set independently, so a single figure presented as “PEP hours” would be wrong more often than it was right.
