Woolworths does not publish one national schedule. Hours are set per branch, so a single set of times for the whole network would be wrong. Use the official locator for the exact branch you plan to visit. Woolworths branch locator.
Woolworths' official store locator publishes per-store trading hours, phone, address, departments and in-store brands, searched by province then suburb. No national schedule is published; full-line stores and standalone Food stores keep different hours. Country Road, Trenery and Witchery appear as separate listings in the same locator.
Checked on 6 September 2026 against woolworths.co.za, which publishes no schedule covering every branch. Hours can change at short notice, especially on public holidays. Confirm with the branch before travelling.

Woolworths publishes hours per store, and there is no national schedule
Woolworths runs a store locator on its own site that gives each branch’s trading hours, phone number, address, departments and in-store brands. What it does not give is one schedule that applies to Woolworths as a whole, because there isn’t one.
A full-line store in a major mall can trade to 20h00, while a small Woolworths Food store closes hours earlier. Both are Woolworths.
Find the store, then read its hours
The locator works by province and then suburb rather than by store name. Choose the province, choose the suburb, and it returns the branches in that area with a day-by-day list for each. It is the only official route to a specific store’s times.
Formats differ more than the name suggests
Woolworths trades as full-line stores carrying Clothing, Foods, Homeware and Beauty together, and as standalone Food stores. Larger branches also house a WCafe, a coffee cart, seafood and butcher counters, Woolworths Connect and Financial Services.
Service counters do not always run to the store’s closing time, so if you are going for the butcher or the seafood counter specifically, allow a margin.
Country Road, Trenery and Witchery are listed separately
These brands belong to the Woolworths group and appear in the same locator as their own entries, sometimes at the same centre as a Woolworths store, with their own hours and their own phone numbers. Two group listings at one mall is normal. Check which one you actually need.
Treat a listing as a starting point, not a guarantee
Individual entries in the locator can be out of date, and a search sometimes returns a store well outside the area you asked for. Where a listing shows a day as unavailable or the store as closed all week, that is worth confirming by phone rather than taking at face value.
Centre hours cap store hours
Most Woolworths branches sit inside shopping centres, and a store cannot trade outside the centre’s hours. Over Easter, Christmas and public holidays the centre’s schedule changes first and the store follows it.
