Trading hours
Budget Insurance publishes different hours for different services. There is no single schedule that covers the whole organisation, so the times that apply to you depend on which team you need. They are set out below. Official contact details for Budget Insurance.
Sales trades Monday to Thursday 08h00 to 19h00, Friday to 18h00, Saturday to 13h00, and 08h00 to 13h00 on public holidays. Support runs Monday to Friday 08h00 to 17h00, Saturday to 13h00, and is closed on public holidays. Both are closed on Sundays. Emergency roadside and home assistance is a separate line.

Sales and Support keep different hours
Budget Insurance publishes two schedules, and which one applies depends on why you are calling. Sales trades longer on weekdays; Support closes earlier and, unlike Sales, does not operate on public holidays.

The public holiday row is the one most likely to catch people out. A new quote can be started on a public holiday; an existing policy query cannot.
Emergency assistance is a separate line
Roadside and home emergency assistance runs on its own number, 0860 10 42 11, separate from both Sales and Support. If you are stranded or dealing with an incident, that is the line to use rather than waiting for office hours.
Do not use the Sales or Support hours above to decide whether help is available in an emergency.
Claims are lodged, not queued for
A claim is a process rather than a single call, and the clock that matters is the notification period in your policy, not the hour you phone. Lodge as soon as you reasonably can rather than waiting for a convenient time.
There is no walk-in office
Budget Insurance publishes a business address in Dainfern, Gauteng, but it operates by phone and online rather than over a counter. Treat the address as a head office and do not travel there expecting service.
