Driving licence testing centres and registering authorities are run by municipal and provincial authorities, each setting its own hours. NaTIS is the national system, not a national office. The NaTIS Contacts page lists query routes and provincial NaTIS representatives; it publishes no directory of centre opening times.

There is no national traffic department
“Traffic department” is not one organisation. Driving licence testing centres, registering authorities and vehicle licensing offices are run by municipalities and provincial authorities, each setting its own counter hours. They all feed the same national system, NaTIS, but NaTIS is the database, not the office.
That is why no schedule appears above. There is no national body publishing one set of hours for all of them, and the NaTIS public site carries contact routes for queries rather than a directory of centre opening times.
Three different counters, often in one building
A single site can house a driving licence testing centre, a vehicle registration and licensing counter, and a learner’s licence testing hall. These are separate services and they frequently stop taking new applicants at different times of day, even though the building’s doors stay open.
Confirm the hours for the specific service you need, not for the building.
The cut-off matters more than the closing time
Most licensing counters stop issuing queue numbers well before they close, because everyone already in the queue must still be served. Arriving thirty minutes before the stated closing time is usually too late. Treat the published closing time as when the last person is finished, not when the last person may join.
Book rather than queue where you can
Learner’s and driving licence tests are booked, not walked into, and vehicle licence renewal can be done online through the national platform rather than at a counter. Using those routes removes the hours question entirely for the transactions they cover.
Find your own centre
Because each authority is separate, the reliable route is your own municipality’s or province’s licensing pages. The NaTIS contacts page lists the national query routes, including provincial NaTIS representatives and driving licence enquiries, which is the right starting point when you do not know which authority serves your address.
