Bloed Street Mall's official shop directory gives Magwinya Zone's Trading Hours as 'Mall Hours' (confirmed in the page markup: the Trading Hours label is followed by a text widget whose value is 'Mall Hours'). The mall publishes Mall Hours as Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 8am-5pm, Sunday & Public Holidays 8am-3pm.
Source of these hours: bloedstreetmall.co.za. Last verified 6 September 2026. Hours can change at short notice, especially on public holidays. Confirm with the branch before travelling.
It trades the mall’s hours
Magwinya Zone is a tenant of Bloed Street Mall in Pretoria’s CBD. The centre’s own shop directory gives the store’s trading hours simply as “Mall Hours”, so the schedule above is the mall’s published schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to 5pm, and Sunday and public holidays 8am to 3pm.
That is the centre’s commitment rather than a time the shop publishes itself, so treat it as the outer envelope.
Hot food sells out before closing time
The shop sells fresh, hot magwinya, made through the day. A fried-to-order counter is governed by what is left rather than by the clock, and late in the trading day the choice narrows. Going earlier is the difference between hot and last-of-the-batch.
The shop’s own website is gone
The mall’s directory still links magwinyazone.co.za, but that domain no longer resolves to a site. Anything you find claiming to be the shop’s own online presence is worth treating carefully; the centre’s directory is the current reliable listing.
Sunday and public holidays are shorter
Bloed Street Mall trades on Sundays and public holidays but closes at 3pm, two hours earlier than Saturday and three earlier than a weekday. That is a real constraint on a weekend breakfast run.
It is a commuter mall
Bloed Street Mall sits in the Pretoria CBD and serves taxi commuters and residents from Capital Park, Arcadia and Prinshof. Peak trade tracks commuter flow: early morning and late afternoon, rather than midday.
Where to check
The centre publishes its trading hours and its full shop directory at Bloed Street Mall.
