Late trading is the norm, but it is set per store
Fast food outlets in this category commonly trade later than surrounding retail, and Friday and Saturday nights are the latest of the week. That said, closing time is set by the individual store rather than nationally, so the outlet near you is not a guide to the one across town.
A store inside a shopping centre closes with the centre. One on its own site does not, and is usually the later option.
The kitchen stops before the doors
Last orders come before the published closing time. Late in the evening the question that matters is whether the kitchen is still taking orders, and that is only reliably answered by phoning the store.
Drive-through service, where a store has it, frequently runs after the counter has closed, so the site can still be serving even when you cannot walk in.
Delivery is a separate question
Ordering through a delivery service is not the same as the store being open to walk into. Delivery windows are set by the delivery platform and its coverage, and can end earlier or later than the store’s own trading hours.
Delivery being unavailable does not mean the store is closed, and the store being open does not guarantee a driver.
Weekends and public holidays
Weekend hours in this category usually extend rather than shorten. Public holidays are less predictable: some outlets trade normally, some reduce hours, and outlets inside centres follow the centre’s decision. Christmas Day is the most likely closure of the year and worth confirming specifically.
