Pick N Pay Operating Hours
Trading hours
Pick N Pay does not publish one national schedule. Hours are set per branch, so a single set of times for the whole network would be wrong. Use the official locator for the exact branch you plan to visit. Pick N Pay branch locator.
Official store locator publishes no national schedule; trading hours are set per store and differ by format.
Checked on 6 September 2026 against pnp.co.za, which publishes no schedule covering every branch. Hours can change at short notice, especially on public holidays. Confirm with the branch before travelling.
Saturday and Sunday trading
Pick n Pay supermarkets generally trade every day of the week, but the weekend schedule is shorter than the weekday one and is set store by store. Sunday closing in particular tends to be several hours earlier than a weekday, which is the detail most often missed on a late shop.
A store inside a shopping centre also follows that centre’s weekend trading decision, so two Pick n Pay stores a short drive apart can differ on a Sunday.
Public holidays and special trading
Public holiday hours replace the normal schedule for that date. Supermarkets commonly keep trading on public holidays where many other retailers close, but on shortened hours that differ by store and by which holiday it is.
The December period and the Easter weekend are when a previously checked schedule is least likely to still hold, so re-check rather than rely on memory.
Finding your store’s exact hours
Use the official Pick n Pay store locator to identify the exact store and confirm its address. Match the address rather than the town, because more than one Pick n Pay can serve the same area and their hours are set separately.
Once you know the exact store, confirm its current hours with that store directly, or check its own listing on a maps service where South African supermarkets normally keep hours and holiday exceptions up to date. Phone the store if the trip depends on it.
Why this page does not list one set of hours
Pick n Pay does not publish a single national trading schedule. Store hours are set individually, so any one figure shown here as the answer would be wrong for most branches on most days.
This page therefore routes you to the correct store. Where an organisation genuinely publishes one schedule for its whole network, we show those times here with the source and the date they were checked.
