Collection, delivery and the kitchen close at different times
A pizza outlet has three closing times, not one, and they rarely match:
- The counter, when you can walk in and order.
- Delivery, which usually stops before the counter does, because the last driver has to get back.
- The kitchen, which stops accepting new orders before either, so the ovens can be cleaned down.
Late in the evening, the question that matters is whether the kitchen is still taking orders, and that is only reliably answered by phoning the store.
Weekends and public holidays
Unlike most retail, weekend hours here tend to be longer rather than shorter, with Friday and Saturday the latest closing nights of the week. Public holidays are less predictable: some outlets trade normally, some run reduced hours, and outlets inside centres follow the centre’s decision for that day.
Christmas Day is the most likely closure of the year and worth confirming specifically rather than assuming a chain trades every day.
