CareKahle is a private walk-in clinic group with four clinics: Alexandra, Daveyton, Dobsonville and Orange Farm. The group site states 'Open 6 Days a Week' and 'Open Monday - Saturday', Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, Sat 8am-1pm. The Daveyton and Dobsonville clinic pages independently restate the same hours, so one schedule genuinely applies to the network. Medicine is dispensed on site and included in the consultation fee.
Source of these hours: carekahle.co.za, carekahle.co.za, carekahle.co.za. Last verified 6 September 2026. Hours can change at short notice, especially on public holidays. Confirm with the branch before travelling.
One schedule across every CareKahle clinic
CareKahle is unusual among South African health providers in publishing a single schedule that applies to the whole group: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm, closed Sunday. The group states it as “Open 6 Days a Week”, and its individual clinic pages repeat the same times.
Because one verified schedule genuinely covers the network, the hours above apply wherever you go rather than only to one branch.
Walk in, do not book
CareKahle operates on a no-appointment, walk-in basis. That changes what the closing time means. There is no slot being held for you, so arriving late in the day puts you behind whoever is already waiting, and Saturday’s 1pm close makes that the tightest session of the week.
Medicine is dispensed on site
The clinic dispenses medicine from its own dispensary and includes it in the consultation fee, so there is no second trip to a pharmacy afterwards. In practice this means one closing time to plan around rather than two, which is the opposite of the usual clinic-then-pharmacy problem.
Four clinics, all in townships
CareKahle runs clinics in Alexandra, Daveyton, Dobsonville and Orange Farm. Two of them sit in or beside shopping centres, which is worth knowing because centre access can close before the clinic’s own stated hours do.
Prices are published, and they differ by location
The group publishes a price list per clinic covering consultations, family planning, pap smears, sonars, drips, wound dressing and medical reports, with medication included in the consultation fee. Payment is by cash or card. Selecting your location on the site shows that clinic’s own pricing.
It handles some things a public clinic will not
The clinics are equipped for stitches, drips and oxygen, which is the practical reason people use them outside hospital hours rather than travelling to casualty. That capability does not extend the schedule, though: outside the published hours you still need a hospital.
Where to check
Confirm the clinic nearest you, its own contact number and its current prices on the official CareKahle site.
