Checkers does not publish one national schedule. Hours are set per branch, so a single set of times for the whole network would be wrong. Use the official locator for the exact branch you plan to visit. Checkers branch locator.

Saturday and Sunday trading
Checkers supermarkets generally trade seven days a week, with shorter hours on Saturday and Sunday than during the week. Those weekend times are set per store rather than nationally, and a store inside a shopping centre follows that centre’s weekend trading decision.
Sunday closing is the time most worth confirming, because it is usually the earliest of the week.
Public holidays and special trading
Public holiday hours replace the normal weekly schedule for that date. Supermarkets usually stay open on public holidays where other retailers close, but on reduced hours that vary by store and by holiday. Treat December and the Easter weekend as periods where any schedule you checked earlier is likely to have changed.
Store hours and Sixty60 delivery are different questions
Checkers runs its Sixty60 delivery service alongside its stores, and its own store browsing tool is branded around it. It is worth being clear about which question you are asking, because they do not have the same answer:
- Whether the store is open to walk into and shop, which is what this page is about.
- Whether delivery is available to you right now, which is set by the delivery service and its coverage rather than by the store’s front door.
Delivery being unavailable does not mean the store is shut, and a store being open does not guarantee a delivery slot.
Finding your store’s exact hours
Checkers’ official store directory lets you confirm which store you mean and browse that store’s products and leaflets. It does not publish trading hours, so use it to pin down the branch, then confirm the hours with that store’s own maps listing or by phoning it.
Check the brand as well as the branch. Checkers and Shoprite are separate networks and do not keep the same hours, so if you meant the other one, use Shoprite operating hours.
Why this page does not list one set of hours
